Stonefly Euro Nymph: Signature Tyer Devin Olsen's Straggle Stone

In this fly tying tutorial, Signature Tyer Devin Olsen teaches us how to tie a stonefly euro nymph on a jig hook. Devin Olsen's Straggle Stone is a stonefly imitation that comes from the modern euro nymphing school of thought. Entirely synthetic, it uses our Streamer Straggle and Bug Back with Flex-Floss Legs. Because the materials don't carry much bulk, you can pack weight onto the hook shank without making the profile too big. This pattern is realistic enough to serve as a natural imitation in a brown, tan or golden coloration. However, it has enough flash and UV elements to serve as an attractor nymph as well. This attracting power is especially helpful when there are lots of natural stoneflies in the drift and you want it to stand out.
