For the past 5 months since I almost got spooled I've been contemplating getting a pier rod just for that reason. My Penn battle 2 4000 was no match for what I thought was a solid and my first would be king mackeral. ( video on page) I had been seeing this particular reel but wasn't sure if I wanted to stick to Penn or give it a shot... I then saw ‪@VitaminDeeTV‬ battle a king with this same reel and I was convinced. I decided to go with the 6000 for a little extra line capacity as well as it's a tad bit lighter than the 5000. I think I'm going with 30lb braid and a Penn battalion 9ft med heavy. Can't go wrong for only 69.99 ‪@Piscifun‬ solid feel ,sealed and a power handle... I cannot wait to throw it.
