Iranian Assembly Targeted, Life Normal In Qom Despite Strikes, Says Prof Zameer Abbas Zaffri

Prof Zameer Abbas Zaffri based in Qom reports that Israeli strikes targeted an area approximately one kilometre from where he is located, near the assembly of senior Iranian clerics and members gathering to elect a new leader. Professor Samir Abbas Jafri from Al-Mustafa International University describes the attack as illegal and criminal. Despite the strikes and threats from the United States warning civilians in Tehran and Isfahan to seek safer places, Jafri reports that life remained normal in Qom. He describes witnessing people gathering at over 50 locations across the city for religious observances during Ramadan, stating that Shia Muslims do not fear death and draw inspiration from Imam Hussain's teachings about standing up to tyranny.
