The Holy Monastery of Panagia Pelekiti is built on a steep slope of the mountain peaks of Agrafa. Ecclesiastically, it belongs to the Holy Metropolis of Thessaly and Fanariofersala and geographically to the Prefecture of Karditsa. It is a beautiful post-Byzantine monument with a unique and highly valuable architecture, built on a steep rock 1,400 meters above sea level. Seeing the Holy Monastery, the pilgrim thinks that it is located between heaven and earth and that it hangs above the village of Karitsa in the Municipality of Nevropolis, Agrafa.
