Shooting my 1895 Magazine Lee Enfield (upgraded Lee Metford)
A 1895 Lee Metford that has served in the Anglo Boer War. It was later upgraded to a Lee Enfield by the addition of the Enfield Barrel fitted with the newer sights that allowed for windage adjustment. It also has the front sight guard. This rifle was issued to the District Mounted Rifles during the Anglo Boer War. During the video you will see we struggle to close the bolt. This is due to the O-Ring I fitted to the new unfired brass. It takes up the play, allowing the case to be fireformed perfectly for the chamber. This prolongs case life and also improves accuracy. My MLE still has a very good bore and thus is a good shooter.
