Suasana Iftar Ramadan 2014 at The New West Haven Masjid (NHIC) In Orange Connecticut USA

Inilah suasana berbuka puasa di masjid baru West Haven pada bulan Ramadhan tahun lepas 2014. It is amazing to see people from different background around the world coming together for a wonderful Iftar. Even Aiman quickly made several new friends. This video depicts the iftar feast at the new West Haven masjid (New Haven Islamic Center NHIC) in Orange Connecticut last year (2014). It was just opened 3 months prior. NHIC previous location was near the University of New Haven (UNH) at 300 Boston Post Road in West Haven. Alhamdulillah NHIC was able to purchase the entire Bull Hill Lane Shopping Plaza located at 254 Bull Hill Lane in Orange, Connecticut. Aiman dan keluarganya baru sahaja pulang daripada menghantar Anisa untuk tinggal selama 2 minggu di asrama Yale Universiti. Aiman and his family had just returned from sending Anisa to Yale University for a two-week stay at dormitory for a Pathway to Science Scholar program. Since the plaza was just purchased, there were only 2 units used as prayer room, one for males and one for females. The male section at the time can accommodate about 500 people. Since that time, the prayer hall has been renovated to accommodate about 1,000 people. There's plenty of parking spaces, after all it is a shopping plaza. Because at the time, most of the units were still rented out, they rented a large outdoor tent to accommodate iftar. Unlike Masjid al Islam in New Haven, the NHIC comprised largely of muslims from around the world such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, Morrocco, Saudi Arabia, Middle East and local American moslems. At the time NHIC were still seeking donations, even though as of right now the plaza has been fully paid for. The masjid is still seeking donation. We need to come up with USD$600,000 by December 31, 2014 otherwise beginning on January 1, 2015 the amount will start to bear interest of 17%, something that we all do not want to endure.
