MV Hebridean Isles last day ever on the Ardrossan/Brodick route (Isle of Arran) before being scrapped this week. PART 2 of 2 (Link to PART 1 is at the end of this video) Brodick to Ardrossan She is due to be finished now as her Certificate runs out on the 21st November. Sadly she's leaving to be broken up on Monday I believe. 39 years old, having been launched in July 1985 (less than a year after I moved to Arran from Glasgow) and entered service for Caledonian MacBrayne the following December. She was standing in for MV Isle of Arran for a few days on the Arran route. I got my ticket and took the chance to be a 'Steamer Dreamer' for one last go aboard this fine vessel. Part of the joy of going on a ferry is just....going on a ferry! To appreciate the vessel and the journey. If you need a reason, that's it right there. I'm glad I went to make this video for posterity. I feel she is a part of me, the first thing I think about when I think about an island, and a part of me has been lost forever.
