We are back!! After a little time out whilst Lucy grew our newest addition to the farm we have now got the time to do a few videos!!! In this weeks episode we talk through the changes to APR and how this has affected farming in the recent budget, we take delivery of Dale ECO - M 6 metre drill on hire to help get planted up. Chad heads out and plants wheat and sprays off a failed oil seed rape crop. Join us on our journey as we diversify our 200 acre arable farm in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Despite being the 5th generation to farm here at Horncastle Farm, we took over in 2014 with no prior farming experience. We now farm here with our two boys Herbie (6) and Arnie (4). In 2023 we opened our doors to the public for the first time - the VLOG aims to document our journey from an arable to a mixed farm as we diversify.
