สันตุสสโกวาท ลำดับที่ ๘๗ “ลมหายใจสุดท้าย” เมื่อเราจวนเจียนใจจะขาด เราจะนึกคิดถึงเรื่องอะไร จุดนี้เป็นจุดที่สำคัญนะ พวกเราจะต้องได้ฝึกเอาไว้อีกเหมือนกัน ถ้าหากว่าพวกเราจวนเจียนใจขาดนึกไปในทางชั่ว บาปอกุศลก็จะวิ่งเข้ามา ให้ผลไปในทางชั่วก่อน แต่ทางดีก็ไม่เสียหาย รอให้ผลต่อเมื่อภายหลัง แต่ถ้าหากว่าใครก็ตามทำความชั่วอย่างมาก แต่ว่าก่อนตายเขารำลึกถึงคุณงามความดี ระลึกถึงบุญกุศลที่ได้เลี้ยงดูพ่อแม่ ได้ทำบุญในพระพุทธศาสนา ได้ทำคุณูปการสาธารณะประโยชน์ บุญกุศลก็จะเข้าสู่จิตใจของดวงวิญญาณนั้น ดวงวิญญาณนั้นก็จะไปสู่สุคติก่อน แต่ถ้าหากว่าหมดอานิสงค์แห่งสุคติแล้ว ก็ด้วยบาปอกุศลที่เขาได้ทำไว้ คนๆนั้นเขาก็ตกต่ำลงไปอีก สรุปแล้วเรื่องการสร้างบุญสร้างกุศล ให้พวกเราเตรียมตัวเตรียมใจเอาไว้ ฝึกเอาไว้ ในขณะที่ใจของเราจะถึงจุดสิ้นสุด หรือหมดอายุ พวกเราควรจะฝึกเอาไว้ ให้ภาวนาเอาไว้ ให้จิตใจเข้ามาสู่ความสงบ เข้ามาสู่จุดที่เป็นบุญกุศล ถ้าจิตใจเข้าสู่บุญกุศล พวกเราก็ไปสู่สวรรค์ ถ้าหากว่าพวกเราทำจิตใจให้สงบนิ่ง เป็นญาณทัศนะเกิดฌาน จิตใจไม่ปรุงไม่ฟุ้งไม่ซ่าน จิตใจรวมสงบ เป็นอัปปนาสมาธิ ในขณะนั้น โน้นล่ะทีนี้ โด่งไปถึงพรหมเลยทีนี้ อานิสงค์ทาน อานิสงค์ศีล ไปสู่สวรรค์ อานิสงค์ภาวนา ไปสู่พรหมโลกเป็นอย่างน้อย เพราะฉะนั้นขอให้พวกเรา คณะศรัทธาญาติโยมลูกหลานทุกคนนะ อย่าตั้งอยู่ในความประมาท อย่างที่พระพุทธเจ้าท่านถาม ว่าได้เตรียมตัวหรือยัง ก่อนที่จะเดินทาง มีบุญกุศลเป็นที่พอใจหรือยัง อุ่นใจหรือยัง แต่ถ้าว่าพวกเรายังไม่มีบุญกุศล เป็นเครื่องอุ่นใจนะ พวกเราอย่าตั้งอยู่ในความประมาทนะ ให้เตรียมเอาไว้นะ บาปบุญ คุณโทษมีจริงนะ นรก สวรรค์มีจริงนะ ถ้าหากว่าพวกเราทำตัวไม่ดี ไปตกนรกได้ง่ายๆ ถ้าเราทำดีแล้วก็ไปสู่สวรรค์ #สันตุสสโกวาท #ธรรมะวันพุธ พระธรรมเทศนาโดย หลวงพ่ออินทร์ถวาย สันตุสสโก จากพระธรรมเทศนา “ตายแล้วไปนรกหรือไปสวรรค์ก่อน ” แสดงธรรมเมื่อวันที่ ๒๙ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๕๕ •••••••••••••••••••• Suntussakowat •••••••••••••••••••• The Sermons by Venerable Acariya Santussako. Episode 84 : OUR LAST BREATH At our last breath, what will we be thinking about? This is a really important matter that we have to put our attention to. It is something that we must practice. If our thoughts are focused on the bad deeds at our last breath, all the bad karma is going to be in effect first. This does not mean that the good karma is going to waste; it is just going to be in effect later on. On the contrary, if a person has committed lots of bad deeds before his last breath, but he is able to recall the few good deeds that he has done prior to this moment such as taking care of his parents, making merits in the way of Buddhism, making good favors to the public, then the good karma is going to be in effect first. Nevertheless, when the effect of the good karma has worn off, the person shall be dragged down from all the blissfulness by the effect of the bad deeds that he had committed before. We must all practice and cultivate the habits of doing good deeds. We need to meditate and practice making our mind at peace, and focusing our mind on the good deeds while we still can, so that at our last breath, we can hold on to the good deeds that we have done. If our mind is focused on the good deeds, then heaven will be the place that our spirit goes. Now, if at our very last breath we are able to calm our mind to the level of meditative absorption or Dhyāna(Bali Sanskrit) and reach attainment concentration, our spirit will ascend to Brahmaloka (the highest celestial world). The destination of the spirits that have done the act of giving and hold the precepts will be heaven. The destination of the spirits that have meditated will be at least Brahmaloka. Therefore, all of us shall not be in heedlessness. It is like what the Lord Buddha had asked whether or not we are prepared for the big departure. Have we all made enough merits? If we are still dwelled in heedlessness and we have not made enough merits, make sure we stop being in one and start making merits. Good and bad karma do exist; heaven and hell do exist. Bad deeds will easily lead us to hell, and good deeds shall lead us to heaven.
