How I Raised $47,000 for a Short Film

After years of making zero-budget shorts, I am all of a sudden directing the biggest project of my career with a $47,000 budget, a short film called 'Green Grass' about two D/deaf university students. It's a huge challenge, and the $200, $300, $500 budgets of all my previous self-made short films wasn't going to cut it this time, we needed to raise money, and a lot of it. And we did. This is how we raised $47,000 for our short film, using a mixture of crowdfunding, brand partnerships, film funds, direct sponsors, and some clever thinking.
