Back in 2023, I took it upon myself to create a remaster of the 11 year old high definition transfer of the 1985 epic dark fantasy adventure film, Legend, directed by Ridley Scott. This remaster was painstakingly created using Arrow Video's limited edition release that included the US Theatrical Cut and Director's Cut, and the 2012 20th Century Fox Ultimate Edition release. In 2024, I decided to go back and create a separate remaster intended to restore the original theatrical color timing to the previous remaster I constructed, using a Region 4 20th Century Fox DVD from 2002. What you are seeing here is a split screen comparison of that restoration work in full 1080p HD. On the left hand side of the frame, you will see the film as presented in my remaster, which was constructed using the Director's Cut, US Theatrical Cut, and alternate footage feature from the Arrow Video limited edition release. On the right, you will see the film regraded to match the theatrical color timing as close as possible, using the 2002 DVD as a color reference.
