We go INTO THE GLACIER - Ice Cave Tour Inside Iceland's 2nd Largest Glacier (Langjokull)!

Woke up really early and hit the road by 6:30am to make it in time for our Into the Glacier tour at 10:30am. Into the Glacier is an ice cave tour out of Husafell where you get to explore inside Langjokull glacier. It's a manmade ice cave that is used as an educational tool to teach people and show the visible effects of climate change Langjokull is the 2nd biggest glacier in Iceland, but they estimate in 50 years it may no longer be considered a glacier. It's only about a 2 hour drive away from Reykjavik, so it's a great day excursion for people visiting the city. We really enjoyed this once in a lifetime experience. We still had some time after our tour, so we checked out some waterfalls nearby also in Husafell. First of those was Hruanfossar which is a collection of creeks and cascades flowing off a lava rock. The second one was Barnafoss or "Children's Waterfall", extremely powerful rapids that gained the name due to two boys falling into it and sadly passing away.
