The Boss GX-10 BOSS has blessed us bassists (Ok, guitarists, too) with a number of outstanding releases recently, several of which we’ve reviewed in the past few months – but this Japanese tonal titan is not about to slow its roll or rest on its laurels now, as evidenced by its just-announced GX-10 Effects Processor. We got our hands on one of these downsized powerhouses a couple of weeks prior to late October 2024’s public launch and haven’t been able to stop tweaking knobs yet! BOSS has done an exceptional job in producing an excellent-sounding, portable, exceedingly flexible, and most importantly highly user-friendly multi-effects processor that not only serves guitarists, but bassists, very well. The GX-10 is pro gear, and a ridiculously easy recommendation for anyone looking for a wide assortment of studio-quality effect types, amp models, and all kinds of bonus functionality, within a $400 budget!
