Meanwhile, Mr. Brewster visits Pearl at the cabin and informs her that the family has safely arrived in Beverly Hills. He shares pictures of the Clampetts’ new mansion, impressing Pearl. Back in Beverly Hills, Granny, unable to find a water pump in the mansion, assumes that the only water available is in the “cement pond.” Meanwhile, Mr. Brewster offers to take Pearl to a nearby phone so she can call Jed. During the drive, Pearl seizes every opportunity to flirt with him, much to his discomfort. At the mansion, Miss Jane arrives and finds Elly May bathing in a wooden tub, much to her surprise. When she explains to Granny that there are proper bathtubs upstairs, Granny retorts that they assumed the upstairs belonged to someone else. Jethro recounts an amusing story to Jed about a girl he once knew in the hills, though it turns out to be more about cookies than romance. Meanwhile, Elly refuses to wear the modern clothes Miss Jane brought, mistaking a brassiere for a slingshot. Jed, equally bewildered by the modern amenities, believes he’s struck water under the front lawn, not realizing it’s just the sprinkler system in action.
