In today's video, I explain the differences between pool shock and bleach when it comes to water purification and how we can use them and properly store them, as well as general shelf lives. Bleach: 2 drops of Regular Bleach per quart of water 8 drops of Regular Bleach per gallon of water 1/2 teaspoon Regular Bleach per five gallons of water If water is cloudy, double the recommended dosages of Bleach. Pool shock: 1 teaspoon of pool shock per gallon of water when making up my stock chlorine solution. Then, to disinfect water, use 3/4 ounce of the pool shock solution to treat a gallon of water.
