Expect The Unexpected | Atharva Vyas | TEDxChoithramSchoolIndore

Atharva Vyas in his talk expresses how an exchange programme can enable a student to be equipped with intercultural competencies like respect, adaptability and acceptance for a new culture. Apart from that he also believes appreciation plays a pivotal role in building any relationship. Atharva Vyas, alumnus of Choithram School is presently pursuing law from Indore Institute of Law. This multi-talented young man has managed to balance his academics and his co-curricular interests. Twice being the university topper till now, his scores speak of his dedication and academic excellence. While in school, he also bagged a fully funded scholarship to Japan for one year from Marching J Incorporated Foundation for representing AFS-India. He had been acknowledged by the Nihon University, Japan for being an outstanding representative of India in Japan during his tenure as an exchange student in the year 2015-16. Atharva is an AFS alumni and has served AFS as a local coordinator for Indore chapter and counsellor of 22 international exchange students till date. He was awarded the best counselor for the year 2017-18 by AFS India. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
