Police bodycam footage captures a dramatic rescue after a DUI crash in Johns Creek, Georgia. On March 19, 2024, officers respond to Knollcrest Boulevard for a single-vehicle crash and discover a 2023 Range Rover sideways on a lawn, actively burning, with a woman trapped inside. Officer Weinrich arrives first and immediately uses a fire extinguisher to slow the flames long enough to access the vehicle. With the fire spreading, officers break the sunroof and pull the woman out through the opening. One officer suffers lacerations while breaking the glass during the rescue. The driver is identified as Alka. Bodycam footage shows officers locating a mostly empty bottle of wine inside the vehicle. Alka admits to consuming alcohol and is transported to the hospital for medical evaluation. The crash investigation reveals the Range Rover accelerated in reverse, striking a subdivision light pole, a Georgia Power electrical box, multiple mailboxes, and a raised flower bed before rolling onto its side and igniting a grass fire. Alka is issued summonses for: • DUI – Less Safe (Alcohol) • Reckless Driving • Open Container Violation This police bodycam case highlights how drunk driving can escalate within seconds — turning a single-vehicle crash into a life-threatening fire and emergency rescue. ⚠️ Viewer discretion advised. 💬 Comment below: Should DUI penalties be harsher when fires and rescues are involved? 👍 Subscribe for more police bodycam footage, DUI arrests, and real crash investigations. 📌 Presented by Inferiam
