He had decided to build a wooden fence around the yard — both to give the place a more beautiful appearance and to keep the animals from entering the garden. The soft sunlight spread across the plain, and a cool breeze carried the scent of damp earth through the air. From a distance, Fariba watched Uncle Reza at work, a satisfied smile on her lips, knowing he always worked with care and love. An hour later, Sadegh arrived at the farm after a long time away, coming to visit Fariba and lend a hand. He greeted Uncle Reza warmly and immediately rolled up his sleeves to help with the fencing. Together, they laughed and talked as they drove the wooden posts into the ground one by one, tying them securely with rope. The air was filled with the sound of hammers and cheerful conversation, as if they had been waiting for this day for years.
