Landscape Photography in The Dolomites | Tre Cime = Landscape Photography in The Dolomites in Northern Italy! Travel to the Tre Cime area as we kick off our first trip to the Dolomites. See us explore the area and search for compositions, reference materials and inspiration for The GRANDIOSE Project. “Grandiose” is the title of a new project I’m working on. The project will take me to every continent in search of at least 10 significant mountain peaks/areas to explore. The first area in the series is the Eastern Sierra in California. For the second part of this project, I am exploring the Dolomites in Italy. The Dolomites cover some 500 square miles so this part of the project will consist of many different images and locations. My name is John Scane and I'm an artist. I started this project out of the need to push myself and my work. Using my paintings, photographs, videos, and more, my intention is to not just document the areas I am exploring but to provide the viewer a broader context through my personal experiences with the area. Along the way, I hope to show you how I make my paintings & photographs and the thought process that goes into them on location and in the studio. This is a long-term project and I hope to bring you along with me to see everything that goes into it!
