MC Erebouni and MC Erasmus (Holland): New prospects for cooperation in arrhythmology

From 8-9 of December of 2016 by invitation of MC Erebouni, in the Department of Angiography, by the Head of Arrhithmology Department , arrhithmologist Dr.Mihran Martirosyan , MD, PhD and The Head of Electrophysiology Department, arrhithmologist Thomas Sili-Thorak ( MC Erasmus, Holland, Rotterdam) were carried out several observations and complex surgeries (ablation and installation of artificial cardiac pacemaker). Dr. M. Martirosyan has been closely cooperating with MC Erasmus and directly with Dr. Thomas Sili-Thorak for a quite a long time. Dr. Thomas Sili-Thorac is rather famous arrhithmologist, often visits different countries to perform showcase surgeries . By visiting MC Erebouni, he was impressed by capabilities of Angiography Department , its equipment and trained medical staff. Modern technical capabilities allow to perform complex surgeries. MC Erebouni, its Arrhithmology Department keeps up with them. However, for further development is necessary to adopt international experience and implement new methods. The aim of the visit of Dr. Thomas Sili –Thorak to Armenia , MC Erebouni is to lay the foundation for close cooperation of two clinics. New approaches in the treatment of arrhythmia will be considered, especially atrial fibrillation ( A-fib) ( which is one of the most dangerous for life),also prospects of application of robots during surgeries, which is already commonplace in the world. The possibilities of implementing three-dimensional system will be considered, which will allow accurately to reveal the ischemic hearth and perform the surgeries more specifically.
