The world's first process for making zero emissions cement

Concrete is the second most-used substance on Earth, after water, and it's responsible for 7.5% of total carbon emissions – triple that of aviation. Decarbonising cement – the carbon-hungry component of concrete – is a massive challenge. But Cambridge researchers have come up with a solution. They've developed a method to produce very low-emission concrete at scale – an innovation that could be transformative for the transition to net zero.
