I’ve never gotten a Platinum in a game before, so why not try to get one in my most played game of 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds? Why not try doing it before the end of the year? Why not wait to start until there’s less than 5 hours left until the year is over? :) Catch my occasional stream here: / xenadir I probably should just upload the video to my own channel but if you want to see the Apex Showcase my group did for SGDQ, you can find it here: • Monster Hunter Wilds by Xenadir, Jaypeg, G... If you're interested in the VoD that this video was brutally dissected from, you can find it on my Archive channel here: • Hunting my final Crowns to get the Platinu... After I did the first cuts in editing I stumbled into this fantastic music mix that I played for countless hours while getting into the deeper edits; highly suggest giving it a listen: • Sanctuary OS (Atmospheric Breaks/Jungle/Fr... It’s my first time sitting down and properly committing to making a detailed video of my own in a long time. I’m definitely still experimenting and trying to figure out my style, so not everything in the video may have really worked, but some of the incredible creators I watch that definitely have subconsciously influenced what this is and where I may potentially take it include: @Infinite_Cringe and their incredible Dragon's Dogma videos that genuinely were the reason I bought DD2 and fell in love with it. She even recently posted a great Monster Hunter Wilds video about learning the Charge Blade and it made me realize just how casually I go about learning in comparison to other players. I need to start locking in. @ItsJabo for somehow making consistently funny and engaging videos on Bethesda titles (mainly Fallout) that somehow keep me coming back in spite of the fact that I find Bethesda games to be super mid? He and his editing team absolutely crush each video every single time and I genuinely love the narrated sections- those for sure have influenced this video and the next one I'm slowly working on @AeroViro for the Monster Hunter videos she had uploaded earlier in Wilds lifespan, as well as for having videos that frequently remind me just how fun games can, are, and should be. And an especially big shoutout in this section to @WreckitRai. He's the only Monster Hunter-specific creator I actually watch, and he was super kind in giving me feedback on my attempts at making a thumbnail, which is something I’ve never really done before. Dude makes incredible content and just exudes love for the series, and was definitely another big inspiration for what makes an engaging video. It's pretty cool to actually just make a thing for the sake of wanting to make the thing. It's just so difficult for the ADHD brain to actually do the thing I want to do.
