FOCUS on US! 🇵🇭🇨🇦 | Welcome to Concordia University!
Hi! We are the Filipino Organization of Concordia University Students otherwise known as FOCUS. We are located in the heart of Montreal, Quebec bridging both the downtown Sir George William Campus and the Loyola Campus. Since the early 2000s, we’ve strived to play a significant role in our community by hosting events and activities under the Concordia Student Union. Today, our club’s mission is to connect students, celebrate our Filipinx identity and to challenge issues in our community. Our ongoing work is grounded in the need to emphasize the visibility and representation of the Filipinx student body at Concordia University. We connect students by providing a safe space and community for all students - no matter their background, age, gender or sexual identity – to network and foster relationships with each other. We celebrate our identity by promoting and celebrating the diverse layers of the Filipinx identity, culture and heritage to Concordia students. We also challenge issues by creating discussions on important topics affecting the youth and providing them with tangible resources.
