My handpan journey began with a simple C Hijaz back in 2011, a modest 8-note instrument that ignited my passion. I explored this scale on the streets, and even though it wasn’t the most well-crafted or best-sounding instrument, it was the perfect match for me to develop and grow as a player. Over the years, I played many different handpans, each one shaping my musical expression. But my connection with C Hijaz never faded; it evolved. Together with the incredible team at Yishama Pantam, I had the opportunity to co-design the C Hijaz 18, refining and expanding its voice into something truly unique. This instrument became a signature of mine, crafted with intention and deep musical vision. At one point, I let go of my C Hijaz 18, releasing it back to the universe. Yet, life has a way of bringing things full circle. Thanks to the generosity of Yishama, a new one has found its way to me, ready to inspire the next chapter of my journey.
