Enduring Activity: 2021 Pediatric Gynecology and Urology Symposium “Management of Heavy Menstrual Bleeding” Evaluation and Credit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/131476 Target Audience This activity is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and allied health professionals in the practice of pediatric gynecology, pediatric urology, general pediatrics primary care, endocrinology, nephrology, gastroenterology, hematology, neonatology, and oncology. Statement of Need Practitioners need a venue to stay up-to-date on the newest diagnostic and treatment guidelines in pediatric and adolescent gynecology as well as pediatric urology. Practitioners need to become familiar with caring for children while providing a variety of office-based prevention services and counseling to pediatric and adolescent patients relating to urological and gynecologic concerns using the latest therapeutic advances and recommendations. Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to: Summarize typical pubertal development. Assess menstrual heaviness. Discuss treatment options – non-hormonal and hormonal.
