It is chronologically the sixth mission in HITMAN™ 2 and takes place before the events of HITMAN™ III. With the Constant due on the Isle of Sgàil for the annual gathering of the Ark Society in a few weeks, Lucas Grey approaches Agent 47 and Diana Burnwood with a request: his militia, under control of one of Grey's lieutenants Noel Crest, has gone rogue, teaming up with a pirate syndicate operating out of the Andaman Sea to raid a liner and steal a control unit for a private Ether Corp. satellite, presumably intending to extort the powerful company. However, as Ether is a major Providence asset, another militia attack would alert the Constant and make him go into hiding again. Therefore, Crest must be eliminated, and the control unit destroyed or rendered inaccessible to the militia. To form a cover story for ICA, 47 must also eliminate an already ICA-sanctioned target Sinhi "Akka" Venthan, the pirates' rapacious leader, who has partnered with Crest and the militia during their stay on the pirates' homebase Ambrose Island.
