Kicking Off the Season! Hiking Prairie Lake in Rolla, MO

Kickoff your 2026 hiking season with us! In this video, we head to the east side of Rolla, Missouri, to explore the Prairie Lake Trail. It’s a solid 3.9-mile loop that’s perfect for anyone looking for an easy, accessible trek to get outdoors. While the trail is mostly a road and can get notoriously muddy on wet days, we got lucky with a cold snap! The ground was frozen solid, making for a much cleaner hike than usual. It’s not the most "scenic" overlook-style trail in the Ozarks, but it’s a peaceful, enjoyable walk around the water that we’d definitely recommend if you’re in the Rolla area.
