In this video I test and review the Recteq Backyard Beast 1000 Pellet Grill while smoking ribs for the first time. I show how it preheats, over shoots then holds temperature and does after almost 6hrs of cooking. This Grill is really pretty nice. I think there is a software issue that needs fixed - it really overshoots the set temperature upon start up - but after it over shoots it drops down and then holds to within 1 degree. Everything is stainless steel and is well constructed. I think if they do a software update correcting the initial temp setting program - this grill is hands down really, really nice! I did purchase this grill from my local Ace Hardware - they had it for $50 off, was already built and then delivered it to my back deck!
