This compilation put together for Papaji's birthday 2025 starts with a devotional song titles 'Be a lion' from the album of the same name, recorded by Papaji's devotees in Lucknow in 1993 with images from celebrations in Lucknow. All the clips on this compilation are from early satsangs recorded on VHS. In a short discourse from the 4th of April 1992, Papaji speaks about different teachers and types of teachings. "There are 3 types of minds based on the gunas, which will be attracted to different teachers. In the end everyone has to arrive home and be free. Whatever gives you stillness of mind, you have the liberty to pick up. Stillness of mind means no samsara. All austerities, charities, pilgrimages will not enable you to make self enquiry. Self enquiry will rise in a pure mind. When it rises, the mind is still. This enquiry is the only method to do away with your projected samsara and miserable hitchhiking from birth to death." 15th February 1992 Question: "You are in the source and I am in the source. What is the difference between you and me? I come here thinking of getting something from you." Papaji: "The difference is ‘You’ and ‘me’. You have everything and don’t expect that I will give you something new. Forget about any gain or loss. Find out your own treasure. If anything promises something, don’t accept and don’t believe. Treasure is within you. Don’t seek anywhere else. This is what satsang informs you of. You are here to listen that you are already emperor. Throw away the begging bowl. Just give few seconds to your own Self, wherever you are. Let your mind not cling to any notion, intention, ideation. Your Self is nearer than your breath, where the breath is rising from. Self knowledge is the easiest of all, what the Vedas declare. Be here." October 1990 Papaji guides a group of Buddhist practitioners onto the essence of emptiness. "When you meditate you are rejecting something, or accepting something; rejecting samsara and aspire to accept nirvana, reach into nirvana. Effort is involved. Instantly when you cross beyond, everything is included: love, beauty, joy, game, play, samsara also. In this emptiness there's no rejection at all. What can you reject? And where will it stay? Emptiness is surrounding everything, past, present, future, all the cosmos, all the solar, many solar systems are included in this emptiness." 17th February 1992 NILAMBAR from Germany tells Papaji that since an early age he has enquired 'Who am I?' and that the sense of Being started to disappear. Papaji: "Blessed is your childhood to have started so soon. This integration has led you to Akash, which is still in the mind. Now go beyond. Ask the question to the mind itself.
