COMIN’ DOWN TO THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL” John Fogerty - Live At Royal Albert Hall, London, UK - 24th June 2008 THIS IS NOT ONLY DVDRIP FROM THE OFFICIAL DVD RELEASED IN 2009 by UMG (Universal Music Group), THIS IS THE REAL CONCERT OF THAT NIGHT WITH THE COMPLETE SETLIST, INCLUDING 2 SONGS PLAYED BY BILLY BURNETTE DURING A BREAK AFTER RAMBLE TAMBLE. Special Thanks to LUCIANO SPANO, he gaves me all the unofficial materials including the audience audio recording of that night THE FACT: At my opinion (probably due to some production deals problems) this was the baddest concert I’ve ever seen from the first time at Hammersmith apollo 29th June 2006. Later there was Wembley Arena 22 June 2007 and Milan 12th June 2008. In the "Intro" you can hear The Producer came up on the stage and make some raccomandations about to not use personal devices or telephone to make photos or video, and saying to the crowd that “They need our claps for their DVD”; in the official DVD, between songs you can hear the same audio crowd clip insert in the main audio track, you can also notice an “out of sync” at the beginning of Comin' Down The Road Down On The Corner (Another post-production problems ?). Inside the DVD you can find a letter from John about to play in the RAH after 37 years, an audio version is possibile to hear in the “Intro” after the manager came up the stage and introduct the concert. After the beginning (3/4 songs), the concert seems to be started fine.... One mistake of lyrics in Rambunctious Boy, reprise in a second turn of chords (cancelled in the DVD, not the song but the mistake :) that's the power of digital) After Ramble Tamble, Fogerty get out of the stage (mysterious causes, due to production problem ????), Billy Burnette went at John’s Mic and play 2 songs in a strong rockabilly style meanwhile Fogerty was in the backstage. Unbelievable songs from Billy thats rocks the entire RAH!! wonderful guy, I remember how I jumped on my chair!!! Fogerty cameback to the stage with gunslinger (not without some problems of setlist and organization with chairs to the centre of stage). After the break before gunslinger, probably John has want to conduct the concert in the way that he want, against the way of the production staff and the various mistakes in the DVD was the answer (maybe?). The result is anyway that the DVD is seems to be a very low cost of production. The Long Road Home In Concert (2005) had to insert in the Oscar nomination if you compare the two DVDs. I can only image what John really wants to do with this event! Obviously remembering his last gig at the RAH with CCR in 1971 and celebrating his revival with the album released in the 2008 (Revival) in his natural style and genuine way to rock on the stage, he wanted to capture that natural feeling on the stage with a DVD that celebrate that night, probably who was at the head of the production (or post-production) couldn't realize what fogerty had in his head. *6 tracks was cancelled for the DVD setlist: Source: Audience recording from (probably) upper gallery of the hall Band Member: John Fogerty - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Harmonica Billy Burnette - Guitars, Vocals Hunter Perrin - Guitars, Vocals Matt Nolen - Keyboards, Accordion, Guitars Jason Mowery - Fiddle, Mandolin, Guitars David Santos - Bass Kenny Aronoff - Drums Jodie Kennedy - Backing Vocals Oren Waters - Backing Vocals Gloria Johnson - Backing Vocals Special Guests: Shane & Tyler Fogerty - Guitars 1Intro 2 Comin’ Down The Road 3 Born On The Bayou 4 Lookin’ Out My Backdoor 5 Rambunctious Boy 6 Don’t You Wish It Was True 7 My Toot Toot 8 Cotton Fields* 9 Commotion 10 Creedence Song 11 Ramble Tamble 12 Tear It Up (By Billy Burnette & The Band)* 13 Honey Hush (By Billy Burnette & The Band)* 14 Gunslinger 15 I Will Walk With You 16 Somebody Help Me 17 Broken Down Cowboy 18 Keep On Chooglin’ 19 Southern Streamline 20 Blue Ridge Mountain Blues 21 Almost Saturday Night 22 Rock And Roll Girls 23 The Night Time Is The Right Time* 24 Premonition* 25 Long Dark Night* 26 I Can’t Take It No More* 27 Down On The Corner 28 Hey Tonight 29 Up Around The Bend (With Shane & Tyler Fogerty) 30 Band Intros + Thanks 31 The Old Man Down The Road 32 Fortunate Son 33 Travelin’ Band 34 Blue Suede Shoes* 35 Rockin’ All Over The World 36 Proud Mary
