ربيع الآخر 1444هجرية https://t.me/bashuaiben/3345 shaykh Abu Hamza Hasan bin Muhammed Ba Shu’ayb said : “We mention to you the death of Shaykh ‘Ubayd Al-Jābiri”. Yes we’re aware of that, we’re aware of his passing away, however, we’re not aware of him repentance from his deviant Fatāwa and from his war against Dammaj (shaykh yahya al-hajoori and his students). He established a fierce war, and he addressed different communities of people in Dammaj. He addressed to the guards, he addressed to the people of Dammaj (who are from there), he addressed to the students of knowledge; and he persisted with his hostility and his war to this Da’watu-Salafiyyah in Yemen and elsewhere. Likewise, he has many deviant Fatāwa and it’s not known of him that he made repentance from it. That being said, we will In-sha-Allah mention something from it in an upcoming sitting, with the permission of Allah. Speech regarding ‘Ubayd is no different, because some of the people perhaps it appears from them wordings that suggest by it feeling pain. If your feeling pain and hurt due to his death then its (acknowledging) he died upon this condition. And so forth they’re publishing supplications of mercy, yes we’re not saying he’s a Kāfir. He is a Muslim, and it’s permissible to ask forgiveness for the Muslims, however, it’s not from the Manhaj of the Salaf to publicise asking mercy and forgiveness upon the people of innovation. This is equivalent to the funeral prayer upon the people of innovation and desires. The Salaf would shun the funerals of the people of innovation and desires. Not because it’s impermissible to pray over them, no. That’s only for the disbeliever that your not allowed to pray over them the funeral prayer.
