How I Became a State Topper in VVM — My Exact Strategy

Here's my story (i'm a state topper VVM) of my VVM exam (VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN) from District 1st to State 3rd in gist: I was sitting in the science in Class 10 when my biology sir comes and tells me about this OPEN BOOK Exam which I can give to get a good scholarship :) And I registered. Yup, had to go through the entire booklet which VVM provided later on. I sat for the exam at home without any preparation. Got District 1st. Then, it was about Stage 2. And that's where the fun begins :) In stage 2, we were called to Jagadish Bose Centre for the VVM stuff. Got get into labs and do experiments. I had 0 experience in experimenting. Our school only had lab classes for Class 11 and Class 12. Got nothing except some good connections and an amazing friend Ryan. Ryan ranked second in the state camp and got into Nationals. Year 2 begins. And yup, I got 2nd in the District. Had some experience this time. Gave everything I got. The food was worse than the previous one :) I'm very critical about food :) Met with a friend called Rajdeep. Rajdeep ranked 1st. I got 3rd. And that's the story. Only the second and first were getting to the Nationals. And yup, even if I got into it, I couldn't have got to the National Camps due to my Advanced Placement exams. A spiritual lesson: Everything is a God's plan. And sometimes conscious efforts are needed to make your dream a reality.
