The unique nature of the partnership between Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates and Atrium Health is based on the fact that Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine is the largest neurosurgical private practice group in the country, and it has partnered with Atrium Health, one of the largest and most comprehensive hospital systems in the United States. Bringing these two entities together, has allowed for considerable accomplishments such as being awarded the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for the Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery. Atrium Health holds 2 of the first 10 certifications awarded show casing their knowledge, expertise, and commitment to excellence. The physicians at SpineFirst hold numerous national leadership positions representing the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Southern Neurosurgical Society, the North Carolina Spine Society, the AANS/CNS joint section on spine disorders, the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery and the American Spine Registry.
