Welcome to Speedwell Travel. My name is Eve and tonight I am staying at the Ibis Styles Paris Roissy CDG hotel. I booked this with a flght package through BA.com to earn more Avios. I originally thought I had booked the Ibis Styles Paris CDG, however on arrival I was informed that I was at the wrong hotel. Please make sure you check your booking and ensure you know how to transfer from Terminal 2 to and from the hotel as this is really a bit awkward. There is a shuttle bus and it should run every 45 minutes from Terminal 2D. As I thought I was going to the Ibis Styles Paris CDG, I walked through Terminal 2 and followed the signs for the RER/VAL which is the inter-terminal train (free) to transfer you around the airport. It took me within a few steps of this hotel and I have to say it looked lovely and a great space to spend a night. I was told I had turned up at the wrong hotel and now hot and flustered I asked Reception to call me a taxi to the other hotel. They were kind enough to do this. I paid 20 euros for this. I prefer to stay as close as possible to the airport and if possible to walk to it. Paris-Roissy hotel is not walkable from the Terminal as there are many multilane highways that would have to be crossed and looked far too dangerous, especially with luggage. I did manage to find the shuttle bus in the morning, so all well and remember to either get a ticket from the hotel or pay the driver 5 Euros. The money I spent on these transfers could have been saved if I had bought the right hotel in the first place. Rookie error. All that said, I had a great sleep, hot shower, decent evening meal, breakfast included and frankly everything was just otherwise as expected from this brand of hotel. yes, I would stay here again if I had to but honestly for my needs I would consider booking the Ibis Styles Paris CDG instead as it was far easier to get to.
