A Ferrari F355 major service involves far more than timing belts — especially on a 30-year-old, track-driven engine. 👉 Want to see more from the world of Ferrari? Check out more videos here: • The World of Ferrari This third episode in the Ferrari F355 major service series focuses on the many critical details that don’t always make it into standalone videos, but matter just as much. While waiting on additional parts to arrive, I worked through a long list of smaller but essential tasks that collectively define what a proper F355 service really looks like. In this video, I reinstall the cam covers, flow-test, clean, and reflow-test the fuel injectors, replace all vacuum lines and individual throttle body O-rings, repair a damaged fuel purge line, and address common issues with aging plastic timing covers, including several failed repair attempts along the way. I also replace the clutch and triple seals, inspecting each component carefully to ensure everything meets the standard required for a long, seamless service life for my client. These are the kinds of jobs that often get skipped, rushed, or deferred... especially on older Italian engines where access is difficult and time adds up quickly. This episode highlights the attention to detail, precision, and extra steps involved in maintaining a 30-year-old Ferrari F355 properly, particularly one that has spent much of its life on track. Rather than focusing on a single headline repair, this video shows the cumulative effort behind a thorough major service, the small, deliberate decisions that ensure reliability, drivability, and longevity long after the engine goes back into the car. This is a rare, in-depth look at what it actually takes to service a Ferrari F355, showing the realities of track-driven cars, proper maintenance, and the level of care required to keep these incredible machines performing at their best.
