The Bold Grenadier (also known as One Morning in May or The Nightingale Sings) is one of the great traditional folk ballads of Britain and Ireland. Passed down through centuries of oral tradition, it tells the tale of a chance meeting between a soldier and a young maiden beneath the springtime trees. 🌿 This is our new version — arranged simply for harp and strings, performed by award-winning Celtic singer Caitlin Grey with Neil Harvey on instrumentation.
