SANTA MONICA — Sunday, January 25, 2026 — At approximately 11:30 a.m., Metro staff conducted a public outreach effort at the Downtown Santa Monica Metro station, adjacent to the Metro Bike Share docks and rail platforms, inviting riders and pedestrians to provide input on potential new bike share station locations across Los Angeles County. Metro representatives displayed a large station map and encouraged participants to place push pins marking suggested locations for future Metro Bike Share stations. Attendees were also directed to submit feedback online by scanning a QR code that linked to Metro’s public “Suggest a Location” form. According to information provided by Metro Bike Share, proposed station locations are evaluated based on multiple factors, including access and convenience, safety, ADA accessibility, roadway width, land use patterns, proximity to bus and rail connections, bicycle infrastructure, and operational considerations.
