Hello Flower Friends! I'm Ellen. Sign up for my FREE weekly newsletter (https://www.ellenfrost.com/join-now) for more flower fun! I write flower profiles, chronicle my flower adventures and share flower stories. In this video I make a monobotanical or monofloral design. I only use tulips. The trick to making the arrangement interesting is to use different varieties and some design tricks. There could be a few reasons you would make an arrangement with just one type of flower. You might have limited access due to season or just by what is available at the market. You might choose to design with one kind of flowers to challenge your skills. Maybe there is just a flower you love and want to feature it. I use a several different colors and several varieties of tulips in this arrangement including singles, doubles and parrots. For the orange singles I employ the reflex technique by folding the petals back to get a different look. Varying heights also will help to create a dynamic appearance.
