(Extremely) Cool 12 Bar BLUES-ROCK Make-Over…

In video we’ll give 3 blues-rock progression a make-over, so they will sound virtuoso, extremely cool, fast and exceptionally fun to play. Does one need more? ;) The concepts are simple and straightforward, based on only the pentatonic scale and some nice fast riffs and chord substitutions for a, awesome sound. Let’s make the Blues-Rock great again! Make-over 1 is a Blues based on an exercise by L.v.d. Knaap (see links below) and involves a standard (cliché) lick that is enhanced with the blue note and major third. It handles also some nice chord substitutions with 9 chords. Make-over 2 is a Stevie Ray Vaughn type of Blues with a fast legato lick and spice chord substitutions that come from Jazz. Make-over 3 is a Blues in E that was originally a bass guitar exercise in the magazine Total Guitar, that I rearranged and adapted for guitar. This one is extremely fun to play!
