We as laymen are told by Allah to 'Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know,' so therefore we should ask those scholars who we trust and are reliable in their knowledge. My question is, as we are human beings, we all can make mistakes including scholars so therefore is it possible to say that all the various books, explanations, interpretations and fatwas given by scholars throughout our history could have some mistakes in them which therefore we are following? So how can we trust that everything scholars have said past and present including some of the giants such as the 4 imams, imam an nawawi, ibn hajar etc etc is all 100% valid and true knowing the fact that they are still human beings and could make an error in their explanations or understandings? 19:10 Part 2: Also likewise, I know for mutawatir hadeeth it is mass transmitted so therefore multiple narrators but even then, they are human beings and can still make an error. So how can we be sure that even our hadeeth are 100% accurate in their transmission?
