How I Print Full Size Track Plans for Plywood Cutting Templates

Here's how I get my track plans printed in full size to use a templates for cutting plywood subroadbed. Step 1: I use Anyrail for creating digital track plans: https://www.anyrail.com/index_en.html Export the completed track plan as a full size .jpeg image. I advise exporting with the highest DPI (Dots per inch) to give the best resolution. Step 2: Import the image into a photo editing program, I use CorelDraw. Step 3: Create the desired print size by cutting and pasting track pieces onto a 4' x 3' blueprint size image. Fit as many as you can per piece to save cost. Staples can apparently print 3' wide and as long as you want but I have yet to try this option. Step 4: Get the images printed at a printing shop or Staples. Step 5: Cut out the track pieces to a desired width using scissors with a guide. Tape together to make them as long as you want and maximize the length to optimize plywood usage and reduce waste. Step 6: Place on plywood and trace track shapes onto plywood. Cut out with jigsaw. Repeat many times!
