EPISODE 1: The journey begins! 🇮🇹🏍️ 100 days, 22,000 km, from Italy to Central Asia. 📍 Day 1: I set off from Friuli with my German friend Julia, both on our Ténéré 700s. After a final Italian gelato in Muggia, we cross into Slovenia (with the usual rain), refuel, and ride into Croatia, ending the day in Rovinj—a stunning coastal town where I get lost in its quiet alleys and meet a gray cat named Bimbo. 📍 Day 2: Leaving Rovinj, we take the smallest roads on the map—twisting curves, deep forests, and views of the blue sea. An off-road trail leads us to the northern entrance of Velebit National Park, where we stop for the night in a cozy homestay in Krasno. A storm is coming, but with a glass of wine and good company, we’re right where we need to be. 🛑 The hardest part is always before you begin.
