Cozy Gouache Painting | Matcha Mango Pastry Art | Relaxing ASMR | Himi Miya

Hey everyone! In this video, we will paint four amazing cake slices by a bright window with gouache paints! It’s a sunny sunday morning, and you’re sitting in a bakery. You just chose four of your favourite cake flavours and they have just arrived at your table, which is by a big window. This bakery unconventionally is on the 4th floor, so you can see buildings below. The first cake you chose is a strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream! An absolutely delight with the whipped cream and sugar glazed fresh strawberry on top, it is easily one of the best cake choices ever. Next we have a matcha cake with green tea and mango buttercream. This has a layer of fresh mangoes and is topped with fresh cream and strawberries. Next comes an evergreen dessert, chocolate cake with an assortment of fruits on top. This has a truffle chicolate butter cream with blueberries, chocolate shavings, strawberries and candied oranges on top. I wonder how candied oranges would take with chocolate, what do you think? Next we have a mango pastry. Is a mango flavoured sponge cake with mango buttercream, with fresh mango pieces between the layers. This is topped with fresh mango pieces, whipped cream swirls and a fresh mint leaf. This is the one I’m most excited for! Mangoes are seasonal in India and we wait all year long to taste the freshest mangoes 🥭! Painting this scene was magical. Somehow, it felt very satisfying. My gouache pallete had the perfect shades for all the cakes. 🍰 In the start, I’ve also showed you my amazing collection of wooden coasters, painted with acrylic colours. This is one of my favourite things to do! After finishing the sketching, I took some time to take myself out on a cafe date. I had the the best time and the best food! The cafe setup was very soothing. A water fountain, vintage clocks, tasty food, an art wall, it had everything! I came back after and started with my favourite part, painting with my HIMI gouache paints! This was exciting, first the shadows with grey brought the dimensions to life and then I started filling in colour. I started with red, and it had it's moment, that bright red velvet colour. The most challenging one was getting the chocolate cake right, and I feel I could have done bettern with the shadows in that one. Similarly, the cake frosting on the mango pastry was a little hard to get. I did my best, and considering this was my first time painting buttercream icing, I give myself a solif 6.8/10.
