Video session - filmed and recorded at ausland Berlin on 11.03.2021 HALFSILKS is the result of bassist/ vocalist KarenThompsons, Canyon Spree) and drummer/ vocalist Jana (of Point No Point, Soft Grid, Dropout Patrol) dragging their mutual friend and synth player Marcia into the rehearsal room to find out what their shared musical influences from 60s girl groups to post-punk could convey. Initially more of a loose project, Halfsilks quickly became an actual band as the members’ professional and musical lives came to a halt over the last months. Instead they turned to writing synth-driven, angular pop songs about horses, outdated technologies and female role-models.
