What is the Met's strategy for Bow Roundabout during days when they are 'Operation Safeway'-ing?. It seems there are plenty of 'people on the ground' but I'm at a loss as to what each of them are doing unless it's purely 'physical presence and making people see Hi-Viz' as a deterrent., They have a Police Officer that appears to be keeping an eye on the cyclist phase red. The rest seem to be purely bunched together having a chat. Where's the Officer stopping those motorist who are jumping the red lights at each of these junctions? (I've got plenty of examples). Where is the Officer going to have a chat with this van driver to remind him not stop in the ASL. If he was happy enough to amber gamble the first - why not the second? Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything 'against' the Police. It's an absolutely necessary part of society and my default feeling to them is that they are normal/good human beings. (Despite the ease in which I could list off recent corruption cases...).
