As I Lay Me Down

The theme of this original poem is bedtime. At day’s end, we usually look forward to unwinding in comfortable repose. During this period of transition from wakefulness to sleep, we rest alone in stillness with our thoughts, taking stock of the day’s experiences as we look to the coming day. Our ‘down time’ affords closure as we drift into the suspension of slumberland where we are recharged and revitalized. Wherever you are, may your nights be fulfilling and may you always know tranquil sleep.
