The objectives of this exercise are: Automate, using the S7‐321C PLC, the process to galvanize parts. Show, with the help of the Fluidsim simulator, the operation of the process and the interaction with the user. Simulate graphically, with the help of a KTP600 HMI, the animation of the process and part of the interaction with the user Functional description • The pieces to be processed are transported in a cage, see figure 1, from the work surface to the three Galvanizing baths and back to work surface. • Moving the cage to different positions of tubs is done with a rodless pneumatic linear actuator (the element symbol, in FluidSim, is shown in figure 2. • A double-acting cylinder places the cage in the workplace or immerses it in tubs. The movements of full or partial stroke are detected by magnetic sensors appropriately placed on the cylinder shirt. • If the carriage (linear actuator) reaches a certain position in the horizontal plane, a lamp lights up control (bath 1: LMP1, bath 2: LMP2, bath 3: LMP3, work surface, LMP0), the lamps should be displayed on both the control panel and the HMI. • In the normal position, the cage is hung above the work surface, the control panel (and also the HMI) has a button that is used to raise / lower the cage, on the work table it will be carried out loading the pieces and then, with the up / down button, the cage must be returned to the normal position. • Once the cage is in the normal position, and with parts to be galvanized, a START button (both in the panel as in the HMI) will start the process: • The cage is moved to position 1 (bathroom 1), once in position a wait of t1 = 2 s is made for ensure the cage stabilizes, then the cage is dipped into the first tub and a routine is performed lifting (up to half the stroke) and submerging (cylinder fully extended) three times and when they are completed, the cage is raised and a wait of t1 is performed, to minimize runoff. • At the end of the time, the cage must move to bathroom 2, again it will be necessary to wait for time t1 to stabilize the cage and immediately immerse the cage, in tub 2, for a time t2 = 4 s. • At the end of that time, the cage rises again, wait a time t1 and then moves to bathroom 3. Then to stabilize the cage, for a time t1, the action of immersing for 3 times, the cage must be repeated, in tub 3 and at the end it will drain again through t1 to immediately return to the station position job. In that place, once the galvanizing process is finished, the process can be started again. • Interaction with the operator can be done from the control panel (simulated in the FluidSim program) or from the HMI (simulated in WinCC) • The simulation of the process in the HMI must have a screen that shows the general operation of the process and 3 additional screens (one for each tub) showing the animation of the movement of the cage. On each of the screens, information on the process (elapsed time, number of dives, etc.) Please visit the following link for the complete documentation: Link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HPd...
