I was finally able to record a trip with the historic Hovedbanen from Oslo to Lillestrøm. This was the very first stretch of railroad in Norway wich eventually ended up in Eidsvoll. I recorded the return trip as well, but I had serious problems with my recording equipment on the return trip so I had to cut it all out. But one way is better than no way, so I hope you enjoy this short video. The train used on this services is known as Type 72 and is a commuter train made between 2001-2005. The 4 wagons can take up to 600+ passengers and weighs 164 tons (328 000 pounds). Max speed is 160 km/h (100mph) and packs 3616 horsepowers. This set of train is mainly used in the L1 service between Lillestrøm and Spikkestad. I will hopefully be able to upload a full length video later another time! Fun fact: Lørenskog Station was used in the Norwegian version of Sesame Street. The station was painted back to the original colours in 2006.
