Stage Three and Four - North Arm Circuit and USC TT

STAGE THREE The second road race took place on Sunday morning at 6:30am. The North Arm Circuit was a 9.9km course with an elevation of 70.7km. The men completed 9 laps of this circuit bringing the total distance to 99km and total climbing to 1,201m. This course suited our riders extremely well and from the beginning they were motivated to take the stage win. The early morning start was tough but the riders looked forward to the course. They controlled the entire race again, picking up more time in the intermediates and leading Brenton Jones out for the win at the end. Still holding onto the leaders jersey it was all down to the final TT. STAGE FOUR The final stage brought the team to the University of the Sunshine Coast. The USC Time Trial tested the limits. The final day of Cycle Sunshine Coast and it was the ultimate speed test. Riders battled it out for the best time completing just two laps of the 3.1 km track. Every single rider rode with a great speed. Up until the final three riders Blake Quick and James Moriarty were set to be on the podium, however, Brenton Jones bettered the times and moved into first.
