Charlie and Max Carver, along with Tyler Posey + Hoechlin, talk about their work out regiment for being buff as fuck on Teen Wolf. TONY: Hi, I'm Tony Wisniewski from Ultra Body Fitness in Hollywood, here with Charlie and Max. We're gonna show you how to work out. CHARLIE: Teen Wolf Style! TONY: Yeah! MAX: Oh man... --- MAX: So when we got the job, it was understood that we were gonna have to get in shape, and pretty quickly. POSEY: I worked out a LOT prior to Teen Wolf... and then after Teen Wolf I didn't work out at all. HOECHLIN: I come from a baseball background so, uh, physical activity is kind of like a daily norm for me. TONY: Charlie I want you on the bench we're gonna start with some dumbbells and reclines MAX: Before Teen Wolf I played sports in high school and college, but I never really worked out the way we work out here. We had about three weeks before we started shooting, so Jeff Davis—the creator of the show—hooked us up with Tony. TONY: I have been training the cast for about three years now, since day one. Most of everybody on the cast has been through my gym in Hollywood. --- TONY: Okay 10 seconds. CHARLIE: As many as we can do? TONY: As many as you can. Alright here we go. 5, 4, 3, 2, begin. --- POSEY: the first time I worked out it was, uh, it was rough. I had worked out with a trainer before, but I was younger and it wasn't as strict and crazy as Tony. HOECHLIN: I mean, yeah, I mean anytime you're working with a trainer who's willing to push you, I mean, it's always a great thing. It's never- the hope is that it's not easy, if it's easy you could do it yourself. POSEY: I think I ate IHOP right before, and you're not supposed to eat like a big meal. Um. I threw up. TONY: You know, there's this whole thing about puking. So, um, I seem to have a way with getting people to throw up. MAX: I haven't puked with Tony yet. He almost got me yesterday. TONY: The intense work outs are mainly because I've usually got a short amount of time to get these guys in shape. --- TONY: 4, 3, 2, good. How many? CHARLIE: 80. MAX: 83. CHARLIE: Oh dude, you are SO full of crap! MAX: Yeah I know, I lied, I lost count. [laughs] --- CHARLIE: Now what's really unfair is Tyler Posey is pretty much never in here and all he eats is pizza. Which is something I haven't had in 3 months. --- TONY: I have to get a lot done quickly, not only with the training, but with the diet. HOECHLIN: My diet? My diet sucks. [laughs] Meat, vegetables, uh, peanuts, walnuts... MAX: Every now and then, um, regarding sweets and desserts, I'll have—I'll treat myself to a donut. It's actually like 4 donuts. HOECHLIN: I miss pizza, which I still also do cheat on every once in a while, cause it's—it's just—it's pizza, you can't say no to pizza. But uh, yeah, that's probably been the biggest adjustment I think. MAX: More than anything it's been like a mental thing. You've got to be focused. TONY: I'm very proud of everybody when I see them on film and I see the work that they're putting in is really paying off. MAX: And then also the bonus is like, yeah, I get to take my shirt off every now and then. Yeah. That's not so bad.
